For Centres

Can we choose educators based on specific requirements?

Yes our app allows you to set specific criteria for your staffing needs, including qualifications.

What is the process for screening educators?

All our educators are thoroughly screened before onboarded onto the Platform, including checking their qualifications, experience and references. We ensure they comply with regulatory requirements to provide you assurance that you will have highly capable and reliable staff.

How do I post a shift

We have made it easy for you to post a shift on the KindiCover Platform. By simply tapping on the “+ Post a New Shift” button you will be guided through the step-by-step process to posting a shift.

What happens once a shift has been accepted?

Once your shift has been matched and accepted by an educator you will receive notification and your shift status will change to “Claimed”.

You will be able to then contact the educator, view their profile and download their documents as required.

Do you have educators in my area?

KindiCover has an expansive network that covers a range of areas across Sydney. Our goal is connect educators and centres and provide accessible and quality staffing solutions.

How do I improve my visibility on the Platform?

By ensuring you have a complete “Centre Profile” this will help increase your interaction with Educators and set your centre up for success. The Centre Highlights allows you to differentiate your centre and also provides helpful information to any Educators who may be interested in your available shift.

You can access your centre profile by going to the “Profile” tab in the main menu at the top of the screen.

What happens once an Educator has finished their shift?

After the educator has completed their shift, you will be required to confirm the timesheet submitted by the educator. Timesheets are required to be approved within 48 hours of the shift ending to ensure that educators are paid in a timely manner. Any unapproved timesheets will automatically be approved after 48 hours.

You will also have the opportunity to rate and review the educator. The educator has the review score added to their star rating and any feedback submitted is only shared with the KindiCover team. Similarly, the educator will also be asked to provide feedback. This feedback system is designed to help us maintain high-quality standards from both the centre and educator's perspectives.

You will also be able to favourite an educator which allows you to notify them first for any future shifts.

Can I re-engage a previous Educator for a future shift?

After an Educator has completed a shift, Centres have the opportunity to rate, review and favourite the educator.

When posting a shift, centres have the option to select individual favourite educators who will get the first opportunity to take a shift. This means that these chosen educators will see the shift before anyone else.

These educators will have a 30-minute exclusivity to accept the shift before it is sent out to all other educators.

Can I cancel my shift once it has been accepted?

You have the option to cancel any Accepted Shifts up until 9:00 pm the day before the shift date. For instance, if the shift is scheduled for the 15th (and an educator is allocated to the shift), you can cancel it until 9 pm on the 14th.

If you wish to cancel a shift after 9:00pm the day before the shift date, you will incur a cancellation fee. Multiple late cancellations can result in losing your account to KindiCover.

What happens if I don’t agree with a timesheet that has been submitted?

If you disagree with the educator’s reported shift start and end time, you can submit an amendment. To settle these discrepancies, we have a two-stage dispute resolution process that will help us arrive at a final outcome.

After you have raised an amendment, your proposed times will be sent to the educator. They will then receive a notification to review your suggested times. The educator will be able to either accept or decline your proposed times from there.

If the educator declined your suggested times, the shift will enter a "Disputed" status and the KindiCover team will be prompted to review the timesheet with you and the educator.

Can I change my shift details once it has been posted?

If your shift is unclaimed, you can easily manage your shift by tapping on the corresponding shift card. Just click on the “pencil” icon and from here you can make any changes to your shift.

Can I contact an educator before they start?

Once your shift has been accepted by an educator you will be able to chat directly with them through the shift chat. Once the shift ends the chat will be automatically disabled.

How do I view completed shifts or my shift history?

What happens if an educator cancels a shift?

If an educator is unable to attend for some reason and has to cancel an accepted shift, you will be notified and the shift will be automatically reposted.

If educators cancel a shift after 3:00pm the day before their scheduled shift, this will impact upon their reliability rating. Multiple late cancellations may impact their employment with KindiCover. This is to ensure we are able to maintain high-quality standards and reliability from the centre perspectives.
